Brunella Martina is a Brazilian film director and screenwriter. She holds an MFA in Film Directing from the California Institute of the Arts (CalArts, USA) and a BA in Film from FAAP University in São Paulo. 

 

Her short documentary Anti-Corpos: Pieces of a Queer Tour (2020) was selected for the Mix Brasil Festival (2020), In-Edit Brazil (2021), New York Brazilian Film Festival (2023), and other festivals. Her documentary Odeon (2024) premiered at Berlin Lift-Off and Paris Lift-Off in 2024. She recently completed her first short fiction film, Drunken Car.

 

Her work focuses on how to portray memory and how to evoke it, especially the moments and figures on the verge of fading. This approach shapes her cinema, centering on people, landscapes, and cultural phenomena on the brink of disappearance.
